Summary: Baekhyun stayed late at school and he forgot to bring his umbrella.
Baekhyun heaved a sigh as he stared outside of the window, hating the rain that was pouring heavily outside of his school building. It was late in the afternoon and he needed to stay to finish his group assignment. All of his group members had gone home, leaving him alone with the responsibility to finish the work which was due that day. If he couldn't finish it on time, then he is screwed. It was useless to be mad, too. Being angry wouldn't make the work finished by itself, anyway.
“Why did I agree to be in the same group as them, anyway...” he mumbled. Pursing his lips in concentration, he cut the last paper doll and glued its back. He searched for a good placement before finally sticking the doll on the board, smiling at his masterpiece.
“Oh thank god,” he stretched his body and yawns. How long had it been since the school was out? He glanced at his watch and his eyes bulged.
“What the fuck—this late already?” he grunted as he shoved all of his belongings into his bag. He stood up and dusted his uniform before slinging the bag over his shoulders and ran to the teacher's room, not forgetting to take the board with him.
He knocked at the door of the teacher’s room. No answer.
He frowned and decided to open the door. How nice, it looked like the teachers had gone home as well. If he knew they had gone home, he would've bring his work home. He could go to school early in the morning tomorrow to collect it on Mr. Lee's desk before he come.
He shuffled over his Literature teacher's desk and put his work on it. He again took a look outside. It’s even raining heavier. Now what.
He walked out of the teacher's lounge and strolled along the corridor and stopped when he saw a boy leaning on the shelf with earphones dangling on his ears.
Chuckling, he walked up to him and patted his shoulder.
“Wake up, Chanyeol,” he said. He opened his eyes slowly, turning his head to look at the person who woke him up from his comfortable dream.
Oh, the person he’d been waiting for.
He blinked his eyes lazily and gave him a sleepy grin. “Hi there.”
Baekhyun smiled back at him. “What are you doing here?”
“Sleeping, until you woke me up.”
He rolled his eyes playfully. "Right. It’s late, Chanyeol. Your bed is way more comfortable to sleep on."
He let out a low laugh. The laugh that never fails to make his heart skips a beat.
He looked around and frowned. Why was he still here? Was he waiting for someone? But who? The school was all empty and the only people left were—
He bit his lip. “…were you by any chance waiting for me?”
Chanyeol opened one eye to look at him and nodded. “I was waiting for you.”
He smiled softly, touched at his kindness. “Why though? You know, I’m planning go home alone,” he said, teasing him. Chanyeol took off his earphones and leant down to him, making him back away a bit.
“I know you didn't bring your umbrella with you,” he grinned. A tint of blush appeared on Baekhyun's cheeks. Chanyeol's face was this close to his.
“Ugh, I get it, fine! I’ll go home with you!” he huffed as he looked away, fanning himself.
He raised an eyebrow. “Who said I want to go home with you?”
“Then why did you wait for me!?” he protested. The younger chuckled and ruffled the elder’s hair before pulling him into a hug, making him even redder than before. Okay, maybe more like hugging his head. Blame Park Chanyeol for being as tall as a lamp post.
He released Baekhyun’s head and stared at him. The latter fixed his hair and raised his eyebrows when their eyes met. Chanyeol leant in again as he brushed the shorter’s bangs aside softly before cupping on his cheek and continued to lean in. Baekhyun swore his heart could explode at any time. Wait, in here? Their first time, here? Wait wait wait wait—
Just after he shut his eyes tightly, Chanyeol stopped halfway and grinned, trying his best to hold his laughter.
“Why are you closing your eyes?” he asked, obviously trying hard to hold his laughter. Baekhyun opened his eyes and bulged them. He was unsure if he wanted to hit him or stay like a statue like… now. He has never been this close to his boyfriend to realize that he is this beautiful, like, REALLY beautiful and breathtaking and it's illegal for a guy to be this beautiful and stupid at the same time and—he went back from his trance and reality hit him.
“You jerk!” he hit his chest and shoved him, clearly not pleased with his playful manner. He was used to it, but wasn’t this too mu—
Before he could say anything, he felt a pair of lips pressed on his pout, and he swore he could feel Chanyeol's smile.
Chanyeol parted their lips before hugging him again. ”I’m sorry?”
This time he couldn’t resist a smile appearing on his face. “… I really hate you, you know that.” he looked down, trying to hide his blush.
“Look at meeeee.” Chanyeol tilted his head to have a better view of Baekhyun's face but failed when he bowed his head down even more.
“Baekhyun-ahhh,” he poked his cheek. The shorter buried his face into Chanyeol's chest and whined a mumble of shut up, making Chanyeol laugh.
He patted his back and pulled away. “Shall we go home now?”
“… that would be nice.”
